Martha Rindler

Martha J. Rindler, 80, formerly of Maria Stein, died at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 24, 2015, at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen.

She was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Maria Stein, to Joseph and Catherine Hasbrook Gast. On April 17, 1978, she married Donald Rindler, who died Aug. 19, 2002.

Surviving are four stepchildren, David (Jan) Rindler, Berne, Ind., Michael (Julie) Rindler, Coldwater, Anne (Tom) Risner, Coldwater, and Robert Rindler, Coldwater; 14 stepgrandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Louis) Overman, Maria Stein; a stepbrother, Thomas (Elizabeth) Gast, Bellaire; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, the Rev. Tom Brenberger, officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
