* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 10 to 20 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Sub-zero temperatures and wind chill values are expected this morning. While most locations will have values in the negative single digits, some isolated temperatures and wind chills will briefly be as low as 10 to 15 degrees below zero.

W. Jean Pontius
W. Jean Pontius, of Van Wert, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born July 13, 1929, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Pauline (Ralston) Goodwin and Elmer Ernest Goodwin. Her husband, James "Too Tall" Pontius, died in 2012. They were married Dec. 5, 1954.
Survivors include children, Ginger (Brent) Heyneman of Strongsville, Ohio, Tamre (Michael) Hileman of Rockford, Ohio, James E. "Jeep" (Shelley) Pontius of Dublin, Ohio; brother-in-law, William Pontius of Fairhaven, Michigan; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Goodwin of Van Wert; five grandchildren, Steven (Lindsay) Hileman of Coldwater, Ohio, Melissa (Brady) Henkle of Rockford, Ohio, Caroline Pontius of Dublin, Ohio, Brittany (Kory) McLaughlin of Cleveland, Ohio, and Erin (Matthew) Leeming of Cleveland, Ohio, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Penny Jane Pontius, and a brother, Ernest Goodwin, who died in 2005.
She retired on July 31, 1991, after 25 years of service from Aeroquip Corporation, Van Wert.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, Ohio.
Visitation was 9-11 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
