Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Carrol Cully
Carrol D. "Joe" Cully, age 92, of Celina, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born May 26, 1924 in Willshire, to the late James W. & Lottie (Chivington) Cully. On December 24, 1946, Joe married Pauline Bauer, and they spent 69 years together.
Pauline survives, along with their two Daughters: Susan (Michael) Etzcorn and June (Gene) Bollenbacher of Celina, five Grandchildren: Bryan (Melissa) Etzcorn, Jennifer (Jeremy) Lawrence, Scott (Cara) Bollenbacher, Jamie (Jodi) Bollenbacher and Trisha (Stephen) Bentz, and eleven Great Grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his Brother and Sister-in-law, Lincoln & Regina Cully and an infant Grandson, Neal Etzcorn.
Joe attended school in Willshire. He served 39 months with the U.S. Army Air Force as an Airplane Engine Mechanic, stationed in the States and Alaska, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Joe was self-employed for all of his working life, working as a plasterer for 18 years, then in construction. In his later years, he enjoyed woodworking and raising Westie puppies.
A pilot for his own enjoyment, Joe owned and flew his own plane for a time. He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #210 in Celina.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 6, at Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, with Pastor Jon Exman officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, with graveside military rites to be conducted by Celina American Legion Post #210 and V.F.W. Post #5713.
Calling Hours are from 3:00-7:00 P.M., Friday, August 5 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, and an hour prior to services on Saturday at the Church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church.
