Mary Reichert
Mary Alberta "Bert" Reichert, age 87 of Van Wert died at 1:29 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
She was born August 30, 1928 in Coldwater, Ohio to J. Albert & Leona (Birkmeyer) Volz, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Daniel J. Reichert who died in 1994.
Surviving is a son, Joseph (Jo) Reichert of Wren, OH and a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (David) Martz of Middle Point, a sister, Margie Hoenie of Lakeview, Ohio and a brother, Joe Volz of Bellevue, WA. Grandchildren: Josh Reichert, Luke Reichert, Zach Reichert, Lachelle Clifton, Lance Dasher, Danielle Dasher, Elijah Martz, Taylor Reichert and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Richard J. Reichert, and brothers Jim and Jack Volz.
She had been employed for a time at Balyeats Restaurant, Kennedy Kit Mfg. and she had also owned the Whistle Stop in Middle Point. She was also a member of the American Legion Aux. and a life member of the VFW Aux.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Brickner Funeral Home with Father Stanley Syzbka officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Anthony, OH.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to Van Wert County Hospice.
