Richard Faller
Richard L. "Fritz" Faller, 85, Coldwater, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
He was born July 11, 1931 in Ft. Recovery, Ohio to the late Leo Faller and Veronica (Hoening) Faller. On July 2, 1955, he married Betty (Wallischeck) Faller, who survives in Coldwater.
He has two children, a daughter Ann (Gary) Forsthoefel, Centerville and a son Sam (Pam) Faller, Celina; four grandchildren, Ryan (Lalita) Forsthoefel, Cincinnati, Jamie (David) Mead, Mason, Lisa Forsthoefel (William Enderle, fiancé), Cincinnati and Brenden Faller, Celina; one great grandchild, Peyton Mead. Also surviving are four sisters, Ethel Jutte, Ruth Ann Cross, Ginny Schwieterman and Kathleen Faller; three sisters-in-law, Aggie Faller, Mary Faller and Jeannette Faller.
Preceding him in death are three brothers, Edwin "Buss" Faller, Harold "Boots" Faller, and Jim Faller; and in-laws, Albert Jutte, Robert Cross, Dennis Schwieterman, Joe & Norma Wallischeck, Robert & Joan Wallischeck, and Mary Jane & Russ Figert.
He was a 1949 graduate of Ft. Recovery High School. He was a U.S Marine veteran stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He retired as Maintenance Superintendent from the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater. He took great pride in his work and was employed there a span of 42 years.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Coldwater American Legion. He enjoyed sports and memorabilia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday, January 9, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 PM Sunday and 9 to 10 AM Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
The family appreciated the care of State of the Heart Hospice during this difficult time.
