Herman Rogers Sr.
Herman (Bump) O. Rogers Sr., age 80 of Avon Park, FL died peacefully at his home from an extended illness.
He was born November 7, 1936 in St. Marys, OH to the late Harry and Leota (Cowhick) Rogers. He married Linda (Wendel) Rogers in 1968.
Herman is survived by his wife, Linda, his four children: Brent (Linda) Unger of Sebring, FL, Curt (Peggy) Snyder of St. Marys, OH, Joann (Greg) Kramer of Avon Park, FL, Biff (Mandy) Rogers of Avon Park, FL and son-in-law Bruce Willrath of Mendon, OH. He has 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sisters: Joan (Herschel) Baugher, Marilyn (Ron) Ballinger-Lauth, Margie (Gary) Hoenie, & Gloria Rogers. In-Laws: Laverne (Kathy) Wendel, Linda Wendel, Sue Wendel, Kevin (Teresa) Wendel, Wayne (Judy) Wilson and Amy (Dan) Bubp.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Babette Willrath, his son Ty Snyder, brother, Bill Rogers and granddaughter. In laws: Bob Ballinger, Mary Ann & John Roberts Sr., Larry Wendel, Gary Wendel, Doug Wendel, Terry Wendel and Koni Wendel.
Herman was a resident of Celina, OH for 57 years prior to relocating to Highlands County, Florida. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all.
He will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at Avon Park Lakes Clubhouse on Saturday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m.
