Dola Smith
Dola Ann Smith, age 87 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Friday Feb 3, 2017 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1929 in Iran, Texas to the late Herbert Charles and Lola Ester (Buckey) Masonbrink. On September 25, 1948 she married Johnnie Smith, who died in 1981.
Dola is survived by her children Marc Smith of Toledo, Duane and Terri Smith of Celina, a special niece Edith and Dennis Klingler, Five grandchildren Adam and Ashley Smith, Meghan Smith and her fiancé Elisha Leiker, Stefanie Smith, Ryan Rodriguez, Lee and Ashley Rodriguez, six great grandchildren Calvin Smith, Eliza Smith, Louden Muether, Zayden Rodriguez, Zyler Rodriguez, Ryelyn Rodriguez and her sister-in-law Marilyn Ann Masonbrink of Vandalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sister Mary Ester Dixon and her brothers William & Romona Faye Masonbrink, James Masonbrink, brother-in-Law Clarence Dixon.
Dola was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina. She was very active at the Church, holding many offices, a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the St. John's Women. She retired from the Citizens Commercial Bank in Celina. Volunteered at many Nursing Homes, her favorite hobbies were making wedding cakes and sending cards.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 11, 2017 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina, with Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating. Burial will follow in the Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.
A viewing will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday Feb. 10, 2017 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Church.
