Lucille E. Ontrop, age 94, of Coldwater, died Friday, May 12, 2017 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.

She was born March 28, 1923 in Coldwater to the late Francis & Frances (Stegeman) Wenning. On April 27, 1946 she married Eugene (Jim) Ontrop and he died in 1978.

She is survived by children, Jim & Joyce Ontrop of Coldwater, Doug & Janice Ontrop of Coldwater, Tim & Deb Ontrop of Jamestown, NC, Sandy & Russ Meyer of Dublin, Pat & Nancy Ontrop of St. Henry, Phil & Lisa Ontrop of Ft. Recovery, and Bruce & Diane Ontrop of McCartyville; a son in law Ted & Marilyn Buehler of Plainfield, IN; 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; in laws Margaret Wenning of St. Henry, Cam Wenning of St. Henry and Linda Wenning of Coldwater.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Ginny Buehler and siblings Evelyn Wint-Kaucher, Lester Wenning, Lillian Dues, Paul Wenning & Francis Wenning; and in laws Joe Wint, Ben Kaucher, Elaine Wenning and Norb Dues.

She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the St. Ann's Rosary Altar sodality, and the St. Cecelia Knights of St. John. She was a Coldwater High School graduate, was a CCD teacher for many years and worked at the Coldwater Schools Cafeteria and Briarwood Manor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm on Tuesday and 9 to 10 am Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

Memorials may be made to the Briarwood Activity fund or State of the Heart Hospice.
