Norman Hoying
Norman A. Hoying, age 76, of Coldwater, died Sunday morning, May 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born March 24, 1941 in Celina to the late Herman J. & Henrietta (Schmitmeyer) Hoying. On July 27, 1963 he married Linda (Homan) and she survives in Coldwater.
He is survived by children, Jeffrey & Melissa Hoying of Ft. Recovery, Lisa & Brad Feltz of New Bremen, Darlene & Fred Stammen of St. Henry and David & Diane Hoying of Minster; 13 grandchildren, Ashton, Preston, Kierston & Easton Hoying, Jessica & husband Chris Sindelar, Alex & Mikayla Feltz, Zachary, Chad & Noah Stammen, Ryan Hoying & fiancée Andrea Schmitmeyer, Brandon & Taylor Hoying; siblings, Sr. Barbara Ann Hoying CPPS, Connie & Ralph Guggenbiller, Janice Rindler, Mary Therese & David Reilly, Diana & Dennis Siefring, Fred & Martha Hoying, Sue & Stanley Zielinski, Ronald & Teresa Hoying, Helen Hoying, Richard & Zinnia Hoying, Lois & Robert Hartings, Michael & Pam Hoying, Rev. Mark Hoying CPPS, and Cindy & John Hamberg; in laws, Irene Art, Cyril Homan and Veronica Homan.
He is preceded in death by siblings, Kenneth Hoying and Beverly Hoying; parents in law, William & Mathilda Homan; and in laws, Jerome Rindler, John Art & Vera Homan.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Men's Holy Name and the Coldwater Knights of Columbus Council #1991. He was co-owner of Coldwater Grain.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday and 9 to 10 am Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
In Lieu of flowers and gifts the family would like memorials made in Norman's name to the Maria Stein Shrine or the charity of the donor's choice.
