FORT RECOVERY - The Fort Recovery Indians were ranked sixth in the first Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association Division IV state poll.
They should be much higher next week.
The Indians became the first team to defeat top-ranked New Bremen this season on Thursday night and they did so in impressive fashion. After falling 14-25 in the opening set, Fort Recovery took the next three by scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-19 in the friendly and noisy confines of Fort Site Fieldhouse. [More]

Report cards evaluating local school districts show most had improved from last school year.  
State superintendent Paolo DeMaria said the report cards released Thursday indicate that more first-time test-takers in 2017 had scored proficient or higher in every subject area.
