Rita Heyne
Rita M. Heyne age 95 of Minster passed away at 11:21 AM on January 2, 2018 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
She was born on August 28, 1922 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Adam J. & Catherine (Braun) Gross. She married Robert Heyne on February 15, 1947 in Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2004.
She is survived by children: Kathy & Tom Borchers, Troy, Janice & Andy Armstrong, Russia, Pamela & Henry Schmidt, Yorkshire, Mary Beth & Dallas Guilford, Delta, 10 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren, brother Vincent & Alfreda Gross, Coldwater, in-laws Lois Heyne, Minster & Helen Reese, Dayton.
She was preceded in death by 1 child, 1 grandchild, brothers & sisters: Louis & Flora Gross, Mary Ann & Alvin "Jake" Severt, Herbert & Madonna Gross, Clarence & Becky Gross, Cyril & Bertie Gross, Eugene & Blanche Gross, Viola & James Bonifas, in-laws Wilford "Jack" Heyne and Carl Reese and Dorothy and Paul Huelsman and Esther and Ed Koehl.
She was a Member of St. Remy Catholic Church and a member most of her life at St. Augustine Church, Minster. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, the Mission Commission, Minster and attended the Gathering Place in Russia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 5, and from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 6.
Memorial donations may be made to the Minster Mission Commission.
