Hubert J. Magoteaux, Jr. age 86 of Osgood, Ohio passed away on January 1, 2018 at his home in Osgood.

He was born on June 16, 1931 in Frenchtown, Ohio to the late Hubert Sr. & Mercedes (Monnin) Mago-teaux. He married Rosalee Langenkamp Wendel on April 30, 1983 in St. Nicholas Church, Osgood and she preceded him in death on November 12, 1986.

He is also survived by children: Joan & Steve Schwieterman, Springboro, Randy & Gail Wendel, Osgood, June & Patrick Moeller, Chickasaw and Alan & Nadine Wendel, Osgood, 11 grandchildren, special friend Norma Winner, Minster, sisters: Jeanette Grilliot, Beavercreek, Suzanne & Jim Wakefield, Versailles, Linda & Jerry Stammen, Versailles.

He was preceded in death by a grandson Jordan Moeller, brothers Lowell & Mary Magoteaux, Sylvester & Jean Magoteaux, sister: Mary Louise & Jim Holzapfel, brother-in-law: Mark Grilliot.

Hubert was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, Versailles F.O.E., Moose Lodge, Celina and the Goat Farmers. He worked at Worch Lumber for 50 years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.

Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, January 5.
