Mary Joan Dedrick
Mary Joan Dedrick, 84, St. Marys, OH died 7:35 p.m. Saturday January 6, 2018 at Treasure Coast Hospice Center in Ft. Pierce, FL.
She was born September 16, 1933 in Dayton, OH to Ollie and Anna (Bertke) Reigelsperger. On December 24, 1948 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Dayton, OH she married Earl Dedrick, who died May 16, 2006.
Survivors include: son William (Francis) Dedrick of Waterville, OH; daughter Patricia Gabbard of Ft. Pierce, FL; son Thomas Dedrick of Ft. Pierce, FL; son Dennis (Michelle) Dedrick of St. Marys, OH; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: parents Ollie and Anna Reigelsperger; husband Earl Dedrick; brother Norbert Reigelsperger; brother Richard Reigelsperger; sister Martha Reigelsperger; sister Rita Oaks; son-in-law Ronald Gabbard.
She was a homemaker and member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for many years at St. Anthony parish in Dayton. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards and spending time with her family at her home on Grand Lake St. Marys. Mary Joan was a kind, gentle spirit who will be missed greatly.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin 11:00 a.m. Friday January 12, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, near Tipp City, OH.
Visitation 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Treasure Coast Hospice 5000 Dunn Road Ft. Pierce, FL (in memory of Mary Joan Dedrick).
