* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Genevieve Schell
Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Genevieve Louise "Jenny" Schell, 97 of Convoy passed away at 3 p.m., Monday at the Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born on April 4, 1920, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Walter and Wilhelmina Catherine (Giessler) Klein. On December 30, 1948, she married Alfred Wayne Schell and he died on June 24, 2016.
Family survivors include her son, Kevin Schell of Convoy; a daughter, Kathy (Steve) Gamble of Rockford; three grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Gamble of Webster, New York, Trent (Betsey) Gamble of Berne, Indiana and Troy (Brittany) Gamble of Rockford; eight great grandchildren: Colton, Jace, Ty, Adelynn and Leighton Gamble, Mason, Gavin and Braelyn Lawyer; a niece, Valerie (Roger) Kohn; a nephew, Mike (Cathy) Schell; two special first cousins, John (Marilyn) Conser and Mary Jo (Bob) Sortland; and other cousins and relatives.
Jenny was a 1938 graduate of Convoy High School and a long time member of St. Paul's Reformed Church in America where she was in the Ladies Guild and sang in the church choir. She worked as a waitress at Balyeat's Restaurant in Van Wert, then for many years as cook and waitress at Gene's in Convoy.
Jenny loved to cook and bake and everyone loved her homemade pies. She volunteered at Crestview School for many years listening to students read in her daughter's second grade class. She loved to play Bingo, Euchre and board games. She also enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, crocheting afghans and her many bus trips. Jenny lived life to the fullest.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Strabbing officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Calling hours are 9-11 a.m., Friday prior to the service.
Preferred memorials are to Convoy E.M.S., St. Paul's Reformed Church in America, or the Van Wert Council on Aging.
