Eileen Hess
Eileen A. Hess, age 86, formerly of Osgood, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at The Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born October 25, 1931 in St. Sebastian to the late Edwin & Mathilda (Evers) Rose. She married Robert W. Hess on September 29, 1951, in Cranberry Prairie and he died January 20, 2007.
Eileen is survived by children: Tom & Karen Hess of Chickasaw, Dan & Mary Jo Hess of St. Rose, Dale & Lynne Hess of Montezuma, Carl & Dodie Hess of Maria Stein, Leonard & Julie Hess of Bluffton, Alan & Sharon Hess of Maria Stein, Craig & Jenny Hess of Troy, and a daughter in law, Tana & Greg Nietfeld of Maria Stein. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, as well as siblings: Donald & Beverly Rose of Cranberry Prairie, Doris Bohman of St. Henry, Jim & Jane Rose of Brookville, Sharon & Dave King of Lima, Therese Lefeld of Coldwater, and in laws: Ramona Rose of Ft. Loramie, Mark Griesdorn of Cassella, and Esther Hess of Montezuma.
Eileen is preceded in death by a daughter Sandy Hess, and a son Chris Hess, two grandchildren, siblings: Kenneth Rose, Margie Griesdorn, and Mary Ann Rose, and in laws: Les Bohman, Dave Lefeld, John Hess, Eleanora & Louis Zumwald, Alma & Richard Ruschau, Ruth & Louie Hamberg.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood. Eileen was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, and was an avid sports fan, especially for the Marion Local Flyers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Nicholas Church, Osgood.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday and 9:00 to 9:45 am Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Gardens at St. Henry Activity Fund, or State of the Heart Care.
