Douglas Bruns
Douglas A. Bruns, 67, of St. Marys, Ohio died 4:45 P.M. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the St. Marys Living Center from cancer.
He was born April 22, 1950, a son of William and Rosemary (Youngs) Bruns, in St. Marys.
Doug is survived by his daughter Casey Schwieterman, son-in-law Dustin and grandchildren Emmy and Rhen all of Celina, Ohio. He is also survived by a brother David (Cindy) Bruns from Coldwater, a brother Dan Bruns from Celina, three nieces, one nephew, a great-niece and a great-nephew.
Doug graduated from St. Marys Memorial High in 1968 and from Bowling Green State University in 1972. He worked at Goodyear in St. Marys for 10 years and also had various sales jobs around the area.
Doug was a lifelong member of the Eagles 767 and a member of the Mercer County Sportsman Association. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and shooting pool. Doug was also a member of the 1st golf team at St. Marys Memorial in 1967. Doug was a Christian.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Grand Lake Hospice and the St. Marys Living Center for their compassionate end-of-life service and care.
