The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Patrick Pearson
Patrick A. "Butch" Pearson, 66, of Bluffton, Indiana, passed away Thursday evening, Feb. 8, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Butch was born on Oct. 29, 1951, in Huntington, to Edwin L. and Donna L. (Dysert) Pearson; his mother survives in Celina, OH. He married Cathy S. Gard in Bluffton on Dec. 26, 1981; she survives.
Butch retired after 40 years as a Telecommunications Design Engineer specializing in Outside Plant Communication, for various telecommunication companies. He was also the founder and owner of First Tel Communications in Bluffton.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching movies, dogs, mushroom hunting, and reading. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother, Butch is survived by two sons, Patrick (Pam) Pearson of Bluffton, and Zachary (Kylee) Pearson of Whitestown, IN; a daughter, Lynne (Jeff) Lee of Dayton, OH; seven grandchildren, Cooper, Averie, and Greyson Pearson, Liam Pearson, and Colton, Keira, and Carly Bingham; two brothers, Rick L. (Toni) Pearson of LaOtto, and Ralph E. (Karen) Pearson of Bluffton; and two sisters, Pamela and Donna Pearson, both of Celina, OH.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Private family services are being held. Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
