The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

David Zumberger
David L. Zumberger, age 59, Yorkshire, passed away of natural causes following an extended battle with cancer on Thursday evening, February 8, 2018, at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, Ohio.
He was born October 7, 1958, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Marlene (McEldowney) and Urban Zumberger of Versailles. On October 15, 1983, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Dave married Janet (Albers) Zumberger who survives.
Also surviving are three children: Nicole & Nick Dirksen, Adam Zumberger and Ryan Zumberger all of Yorkshire as well as five grandchildren: Patrick, Lillian, Jack, Lauren and Claire Dirksen; six siblings: Donald & Renee Zumberger of Russia, Gary Zumberger and Larry Zumberger of Versailles, Deb & Dan Gaier of Piqua, Dee & Mike Adams of Russia and Denise & Dave Kremer of Russia; father & mother-in-law, Wilma (Holdheide) & Wilfred Albers of Celina and brothers & sisters-in-law: Jerry & Marge Albers of Celina, Rose Albers of Chickasaw, Elaine & Rick Ahrns of New Bremen, and Dale & Karen Albers of Celina.
A 1978 graduate of Versailles High School, Dave was employed at Whirlpool Corp. in Greenville. He had been employed previously for many years at Spring Creek Corp. in Sidney. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and the St. Denis Knights of Columbus. Dave "Zoomy"" enjoyed camping and collecting small scale tractors. He also loved interacting with his grandchildren and helping with chores on the Dirksen dairy farm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at St. Denis Church in Versailles with Rev. James Simons celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Valbert Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 9:30 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County or charity of choice.
