Rasawehr faces 26 charges

CELINA - The trial of a former Mercer County man who faces 26 misdemeanor charges claiming he had hindered law enforcement efforts and harassed family members began Tuesday in Celina Municipal Court.
Jeffrey Rasawehr, 54, faces 13 second-degree misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business and five charges of menacing by stalking and eight charges of telecommunications harassment, first-degree misdemeanors. [More]

CELINA - School officials on Tuesday selected a construction plan to pursue after residents attending the meeting had voted on their favorite.
Fanning Howey architects initially drafted nine building plans based on the answers from 1,400 survey respondents. Officials then narrowed the nine down to two and presented them to residents at an April meeting. [More]

Ohio State redshirt freshman Seth Lonsway has collected an number of top honors this week as the Buckeyes begin play today in the Big Ten Baseball Tournament in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Celina graduate was named to both the Big Ten's All-Freshman Team and the third team of the All-Big Ten Baseball team on Tuesday. [More]

CELINA - City council members on Monday night took another step toward implementing a formal policy to allow outside entities to sell alcohol and have it consumed on city property for specific events.

Joe Roth will begin his new position starting on June 1. Roth will replace longtime employee Tom Beahrs, who retired in January after more than 20 years of service.

In the case of Seth Huston, it was the visit by Bluffton University head football coach Dan Krepps to Celina to evaluate potential players.
ST. HENRY - Kyle Menchhofer has coached in some capacity at New Knoxville, Celina and the University of Northwestern Ohio.
The 1983 Celina High School graduate was recently hired to lead the St. Henry girls basketball program. He hopes to keep the Redskins trending upward.
