* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

CELINA - Mercer County encountered its first accumulating snowfall of the 2020-2021 winter, with between 11/2 and 2 inches piling up on the ground by 4 p.m. Monday.

CELINA - Two Muncie, Indiana, men were arrested on Thanksgiving Day on grand theft and breaking and entering charges after they were reportedly found hauling a stolen trailer and ATV.
Lee M. Peterson, 28, and Stanley L. Justice-Keeton, 37, are being held in the Mercer County jail on $100,000 bail, subject to a 10% cash option. They are each charged with fourth-degree felony grand theft and fifth-degree felony breaking and entering. [More]

Deaths occurred since Wednesday
CELINA - Eleven more area residents have died of COVID-19 since Wednesday.
The deaths of eight Mercer County residents raises the county's toll to 53, while Auglaize County officials reported three new deaths, raising its total to 29.
CELINA - A Celina woman pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of drug-abuse instruments after reportedly being involved in a minor injury accident on Sunday afternoon.

Scoreless quarter stymies St. Henry
WAPAKONETA - When the game started to get away from St. Henry, it was gone in a hurry.
St. Henry led 11-9 after the first quarter, but couldn't find the basket in the second quarter, allowing Wapakoneta to get into a rhythm on the way to a 58-30 loss at Wapakoneta High School on Monday night.
