Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Jeffrey Pugh
Jeffrey A. Pugh, 64, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away, after an extended battle of cancer, on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys, Ohio.
He was born on November 15, 1958, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Morton Pugh and Wanda (Rhine) Ickes.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 22 years, Virginia "Ginny" (Acheson) Pugh, whom he married on July 2, 2001; his son, Mitchell Pugh of Fort Recovery; his bonus children, Zachary (Erin) Timmerman of Portland, Indiana, and Abigail (fiancé, Tommy Hawkins) Timmerman of Oak Harbor, Washington; his siblings, Morton (Susan) Pugh of Fort Recovery, Annette Pugh of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Julie Ickes of Orlando, Florida; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Butch and Marilyn Acheson of Portland; his in-laws, Rod (Lori) Acheson of Fort Recovery, Mike (Jenny) Acheson of Fort Recovery, and Lynn (Randy) Bey of Columbus, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his second father, John Ickes.
Jeff was a 1977 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. Jeff was a life-long grain farmer and took great pride in his farming operation. He also worked in the parts department at Hull Brothers for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially going fishing and trapping. Jeff also loved playing ping pong and spending time with his family.
A celebration of Jeff's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Quentin Elsea officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Guests may visit with Jeff's family on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, and again on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Nazarene Church.
