Todd Ashbaugh
Todd Ashbaugh, age 54 of Coldwater died Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born February 1, 1969 in St. Marys to the late Wiliam & Mary Jo (Hardin) Ashbaugh. On June 30, 2001 in St. Anthony he married Karen (Timmerman) Ashbaugh, she survives in Coldwater.
He is also survived by daughters, Abby and Natalie Ashbaugh; sisters, Deb & Greg McDermitt of St. Marys, and Marlene Ashbaugh of Bradenton, Florida; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim & Janie Timmerman of St. Anthony, in-laws, Connie & Mark Holdheide of Ft. Loramie, Doug & Jill Timmerman of Coldwater, Jeff & Caryn Timmerman of Coldwater, Kathy & Kevin Koch of Coldwater, Krista & John Evans of Ft. Recovery and Adam & Lauryn Timmerman of Coldwater, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, William Jr. and Alan Ashbaugh
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Todd was a veteran of the United States Navy and served four years on the USS Badger. He was a graduate of Wright State University, achieving a master's degree. Todd was also a member of the Coldwater American Legion, Coldwater Eagles, the St. Anthony Dinner Theatre.
He was a high science teacher at Marion Local High school, bus driver, former football and track coach at Marion Local High School, a former teacher at Parkway Schools, an adjunct professor at Wright State Lake Campus. Todd was very active and supportive of local athletics by serving as an official for volleyball and basketball and an umpire for baseball and softball. Todd loved to golf, care for his pond, cheer for Notre Dame football and be a loving father.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 PM on Sunday and 9:00 to 10:00 am Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
