Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Elaine Ebbing
Elaine J. Ebbing, age 77 of Coldwater died Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater. She was born September 10, 1946 in Coldwater to the late Victor & Mary (Hoying) Evers. On October 21, 1967 in Carthagena she married Clem Ebbing and he died October 17, 2001.
She is also survived by children, Edward (Michelle) Ebbing of Coldwater and their children Grant & Trent, Jennifer (Kelly) Perrault of Tipp City and their children Ethan, Raymond & Maryn and Jill (Karl) Alexandrunas of New Albany and their children Ella & Preston; siblings and in-laws, Marvin (Ruth) Evers, Marilyn (late Ken) Schwieterman, Roger Evers, Kathy (Jerry) Laux all of Coldwater, Joyce (late Robert) Baumeier of Florida and Stan (Vickie) Ebbing of Coldwater.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality of the church and bridge camps. Elaine was a homemaker, mother of three and a dog groomer for 33 years at Coldwater Animal Clinic.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM on Friday and 8:30 to 9:30 am Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Cattlemen's Association.
