* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Western Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio... North Central Shelby County in west central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 1245 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1003 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Minster, St. Henry, Rockford, New Knoxville, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, Maria Stein, State Route 116 at State Route 197 and Chattanooga.

Galen Ball
Galen Ray Ball, 60, of Villa Nova (St. Marys Twp.) in Auglaize Co., OH died 11:42 a.m. Tuesday August 6, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH.
He was born March 25, 1964 in St. Marys, OH to Don Ramon and Thelma Jean (Moody) Ball. On August 8, 2015 in St. Marys, OH he married Judith D. North, who survives.
Also survived by: twin daughters Emma and Journey Ball of St. Marys, OH; son Shawn Cox of New Bremen, OH; son Joshua Cox of St. Marys, OH; daughter Ronica Perez of Celina, OH; son Aaron Perez of St. Marys, OH; several grandchildren; mother Thelma Jean Ball of St. Marys, OH; and sister Brenda Jenkins of Celina, OH.
Preceded in death by: father Don Ramon Ball.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1983). A press operator, he worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys for 36 Years. He attended the First Baptist Church in St. Marys.
An avid outdoorsman, his favorite pastimes included camping, fishing, riding around in his golf cart and piloting his pontoon boat on Grand Lake St. Marys.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 13, 2024 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Pastor Keith Stuck will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
