At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Melvin Davis
Mercer County native Melvin W. Davis, 82, Bryan, died at 3:10 a.m. Jan. 23, 2012, in his home.
He was born Dec. 9, 1929, in Mercer to Orval K. and Evelyn Counterman Davis. On Jan. 23, 1955, he married Donna Mosier, who died June 10, 2005.
Surviving are children, Deborah (Steve) Hunziker, Columbus, Denise Weisner, Bryan, Brent (Nancy) Davis, New Hudson, Mich., and Michael (Jessica) Davis, Bryan; siblings, Richard Keith Davis, Rockford, and Sharon Ames, Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Royce) High, Ohio City, Dorothy Mosier, Bryan, and Nancy (Dave) Hersh, Atlanta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Cheryl Davis.
He attended barber college in Dayton, was a barber for more than 50 years and and was co-owner of Mel & Jim's Barber Shop, Bryan. He also was a bus driver for Bryan City Schools for 27 years.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bryan, and Bryan American Legion and attended the Bryan Senior Center. He served with the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, the Rev. Barry Sweet officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, with graveside military rites conducted by Bryan American Legion.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospital and Wellness Center Hospital Hospice.
