* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Auglaize, Darke, Mercer and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 356 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Fort Loramie, New Bremen, Minster, Newport, New Knoxville, Russia, Osgood, Willowdell, Chickasaw, Kettlersville, Yorkshire, Lake Loramie State Park, Egypt, Maria Stein, Mccartyville and Houston.

Evelyn Grimes
Evelyn E. Grimes, 88, New Knoxville, died at 12:42 p.m. Jan. 23, 2012, at St. Marys Living Center following a sudden illness.
She was born Nov. 3, 1923, in New Knoxville to William and Meta Rose Hartung Harmeyer. On Nov. 2, 1941, she married Dale Grimes Sr., who survives in New Knoxville.
Also surviving are children, Dale (Patricia) Grimes, Vandalia, Robert Grimes, St. Marys, Linda Everest, Grand Blanc, Mich., Dean (Mona) Grimes, Clarksville, Tenn.,and Pamela (Gerald) Ausland, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Robert Harmeyer; daughters-in-law, Dorothy Grimes and Judy Grimes; and a son-in-law, Richard Everest.
She was a 1941 graduate of New Knoxville High School and had worked at the former IGA Grocery in New Knoxville. She was co-owner of Dari Bar and G&H Ceramics and Aquariums.
She was a member of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, where she had served on the funeral luncheon committee and was a member of the Busy Needles Group. She had been a Red Cross volunteer, a member of Auglaize County Senior Citizens, New Knoxville Historical Society and Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Guild.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Chuck Moeller officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the church ministry center.
Memorial donations may be directed to the ministry center building fund or the radio broadcast fund of the church.
