Fort Recovery Police continue to investigate a breaking and entering at Kaup Pharmacy, 110 E. Butler St.
Authorities responded to the scene at 11:17 p.m. Tuesday on reports someone had thrown a rock through a glass door in order to gain entry.
Once inside, the perpetrator allegedly took 200 oxycodone tablets in various milligram sizes. The narcotic is commonly used for pain control. [More]

Local clergy are speaking out against a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow slot machine gambling in Ohio if passed by voters in November.
Issue 3, titled "Learn & Earn" for its intent to create college scholarships and grants, would permit up to 31,500 slot machines at seven horse racing tracks and two Cleveland non-track locations across the state. It also would permit expanded gaming in four Cuyahoga County locations. [More]

A Celina man, who tried to forcibly enter a home where his estranged girlfriend and their son were staying, is headed to prison following a Wednesday morning appearance in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

Highlights: The Roughriders held Kenton to just 140 yards passing and two touchdowns in keeping their hopes alive for a playoff berth and dashing Kenton's hopes for a return to the postseason.

Highlights: The Cardinals put up plenty of yards to get their second win of the season against Fort Recovery last week. The Cardinals put up 277 yards rushing and quarterback Bryce Bergman passed for 127 yards to set up the touchdowns.
