Southwest winds will increase this morning with the passage of a strong cold front. Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph expected this morning into the afternoon before diminishing toward evening.
These gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects.

Kathleen Schmitmeyer
Kathleen R. Schmitmeyer, 63, 123 S. Hamilton St., Minster, died at 4:55 p.m. Jan. 7, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster. She had been ill the past year.
She was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Cassella, to Raymond and Olive Bensman Feltz. On May 30, 1964, she married Jerome J. Schmitmeyer, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jarett (Nicole), New Bremen; five brothers, John (Cindy) Feltz, Fairborn, Paul (Mary Ann) Feltz, Waynesville, Jerome (Patricia) Feltz, Wake Forest, N.C., Raymond Jr. (Rita) Feltz, Celina, and Ronald (Mary) Feltz, North Canton; three sisters, Eileen Slivinski, Dayton, Mary Ann (Dick) Gray, Celina, and Pauline (Urban) Drees, Yorkshire; and twin grandsons.
Deceased is a daughter, Jeanne, and two brothers-in-law, Pete Slivinski and Louis Schemmel.
She graduated from the University of Dayton. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, its Catholic Ladies of Columbus, and former director of religious education, Minster; adult faith coordinator at St. Henry Catholic Church and a member of the Precious Blood Companions, St. Henry Cluster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at the Minster church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
