Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

James Holtzauer
James "Cruiser" Holtzauer, 71, 910 Laurel Drive, St. Marys, died at 1 a.m. Jan. 9, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 28, 1935, in St. Marys, to Charles and Zeitha Richards Holtzauer. On Oct. 24, 1959, he married Nancy Hanscel, who survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Bill, St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He retired from the St. Marys Police Department, where he served 23 years as an officer and 13 years as a dispatcher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. A 1953 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, he was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, American Legion Post 323 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767, all of St. Marys, and the Western Ohio Fish and Game Club.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. James Seibert officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
