Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

Ambrose Broering
Ambrose H. Broering, 92, 70 S. Hanover St., Minster, died at 11 p.m. Jan. 10, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
He was born Nov. 14, 1914, in Montezuma, to John H. and Cecila Holdheide Broering. On April 23, 1960, he married Helen Ernst Wissman, who died Jan. 29, 2005.
Survivors are a stepdaughter, Sandra Olberding, Minster; a brother, Leander, San Rafael, Calif.; four sisters, Hilda Steinke, Minster, Mickey (Stan) Mescher, Tipp City, and Dorothy Boeckman and Rita (Norbert) Hoehne, all of Fort Loramie; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He worked for 20 years at General Motors and was the owner/operator of Broering Electric. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster; Knights of St. John, Fort Loramie; Lake Loramie Improvement Association; Minster Civic Association; Newport Sportsman Club; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, Minster; and member and past president of Fort Loramie Kiwanis and Fort Loramie Business Association.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30-9 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
