The variegated blue ball rolls noisily along the polished lane toward 10 pins standing at attention. Impact sends them sprawling in all directions as Betty Bollenbacher racks up another strike.
Bollenbacher, who turned 80 on Sunday, has amassed a collection of trophies attesting to her prowess in local, state and national bowling competitions. She rolled several 700 series over the years, but one goal remains elusive. [More]

The Celina boys swimming team picked a very good moment to outpoint rival Shawnee.
The WaterDogs captured the Western Buckeye League boys swimming title at the league meet in Lima on Saturday as Celina out-scored the Indians 272-235 for the title. The St. Marys boys placed sixth with 114 points. [More]

A pileup of at least 19 vehicles closed state Route 364 this weekend following a sudden snow squall along Grand Lake in rural St. Marys on Saturday.
