Scattered snow showers occurring across the region will gradually diminish early this morning. While any accumulation will be less than an inch, this will create slick roadways with a quick coating of snow. Not all roads will be affected, but motorists should be aware that driving conditions may change quickly along their route, going from dry to slick. If traveling this morning, use extra caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Eleanor Brown
Eleanor Carolyn Brown, 87, 1306 Oakview Drive, St. Marys, died at 6:11 a.m. Feb. 1, 2008, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born March 11, 1920, in Blue Mound, Ill., to John L. and Eunice Thurston Damery. On Nov. 2, 1936, she married Robert L. Brown, who died in October 1981.
Survivors are two sons, Richard (Theresa), Celina, and Russell, St. Marys; a brother, James Damery, Blue Mound; a sister, Kathryn Damery Disbrow, Warrensburg, Ill.; two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
Deceased are a brother, Dale Damery; and a sister, Flora Damery Dye.
She attend school in Blue Mound and was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church, Blue Mound.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. Burial is at Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound
Calling is after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
