Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Mildred Peters
Mildred P. Peters, 102, formerly of 1105 Princeton Avenue, died at 3:20 a.m. April 8, 2008, at Mercer County Community Hospital,
She was born Jan. 6, 1906, in Coldwater, to Henry J. and Nellie Maud Smith Gaus. On Nov. 5, 1924, she married Harold Peters, who died May 18, 1986.
Survivors are two sons, Robert (Ardith) Peters, Central Lake, Mich., Larry (Judy) Peters, Dayton; three daughters, Norma Jean (Karl) Wellman, Englewood, Margie (James) Fennig, Coldwater, and Janet (Allan) Adams, Coldwater; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son James Loree Peters, a brother, Orval Gaus; a sister, Beulah Hamberg; and a grandson.
She retired as an Avon representative after 30 years and was a member of the Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, Celina.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the Grace Missionary Church, Celina, the Revs. Thomas Christen and Michael Spencer officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Saturday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home and one hour prior to service on Sunday at the church.
