Two pairs of eagles nesting on Grand Lake in Mercer County again have contributed to a growing statewide eagle population, reflecting national trends.
The local birds raised a total of four eaglets this year, said Jill Bowers, St. Marys, a volunteer eagle watcher for the Ohio Division of Wildlife.

A four-game homestand didn't go well for the Grand Lake Mariners over the weekend.
