Rita Sanders
Rita Wilma Sanders, 87, of Celina, died at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 15, 2008 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born May 1, 1921, in St. Henry to Frank and Antoinette Uhlenhake Lange. On May 2, 1942, she married Harry L. "Joe" Sanders, who died April 2, 1997.
Surviving are a son, Joe (Stacy), Celina; three daughters, Judy (Larry) Peters, Dayton, Nancy Mantel, Escanaba, Mich., and Shelley (Brian) Naeryert, Dade City, Fla.; a sister, Delores Sullivan, of Kansas; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six brothers, Roman, Dick, Wilbert, Dennis, Edward and an infant, Harold; four sisters, Florentine Hagen, Esther Pazitney, Coletta Roddy, and an infant, Dorothy, and a son-in-law, Ron Mantel.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and the Mercer County Elks.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial is at St. Henry Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home.
