Melanie Watkins
Melanie C. Watkins, 39, 115 S. Pine St., St. Marys, died at 11:35 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was due to cancer.
She was born Feb. 20, 1969, in St. Marys, to Norbert and Rose Prichard Ricker, who survive. On Jan. 6, 1990, she married Don Watkins, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Matt, at home; a daughter, Mallory (Todd) Edmiston, St. Marys; a stepson, Brandon Watkins, Lebanon; a brother, Mike (Missy) Ricker, St. Marys; a sister, Stacey (Mike) Grannan, St. Marys; a grandson and two stepgrandaughters.
She worked for 18 years as a lab technician for Brookside Laboratories, New Knoxville, and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys. She was a 1987 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tony Cutcher, officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
