Knowing that he had to win his final heat to stay in the running for the 2009 Governor's Cup, Dan Kanfoush needed a big run after Jim Martin went 4-0 in the 5-Litre division.
Kanfoush got the win in his final heat of the 1-Litre boat class to join Martin at 4-0, meaning the Cup would come down to who came closer to breaking their division's competition world record. [More]

Chief Supermarket in St. Marys will close after business on Sept. 5. Its groceries in Celina and Coldwater will remain open, according to a company spokesperson.
Lake Campus professor hunts for way to map teeth
An old shark arrived a few weeks ago at the Lake Campus, and right away they dragged it off to Coldwater hospital for x-rays and a CAT scan.
Where did it come from? The California coast or Florida? Sorry, wrong. How about Cleveland? Uh huh.
The newest members of the Celina Police Department wear no uniforms with detailed patches and holster no guns. They don't even own a set of handcuffs.
Pastor Randy and Tricia Christian, armed with bibles, recently became chaplains for the force - a first for the department.
