Helen Steele
Helen C. Steele, 89, 917 Murlin Ave., Celina, died at 5 a.m. Aug. 22, 2009, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born April 7, 1920, in St. Anthony to Michael J. and Antoinette Feipel Minch. On Dec. 1, 1951, she married Jack L. Steele, who died Dec. 8, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Donald E. (Dian) Steele, Celina; a sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Caldwell, St. Marys; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Minch, Florence, Ala., and Emily and Wahneta Minch, both of Celina; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased a a son, Robert A. Steele; a sister, Clara Minch; five brothers, Harold, Walter, Rudolph, Clarence and Lewis Minch; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Minch and DeMara Patton.
She worked at the former Buckeye Overall Company, Coldwater, and the former St. Marys Cotton Mill. She retired from the former Huffy Bicycle plant, Celina, after 20 years service. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
