Jo Ann Giere
Jo Ann Giere, 75, 1213 S. Eola Drive, Orlando, Fla., died at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 22, 2009, at the Village Oaks Assisted Living, Orlando.
She was born Sept. 27, 1933, in St. Marys to Mary Rieger McEvoy Esser and Norbert McEvoy. She was married for many years to Edward R. Giere, who is deceased.
Survivors are four children, Sandra Lynn Giere, Orlando, Susan Kay Colombo, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Michael Edward Giere, Maryville, Tenn., and Joni Ann Baggett, Orlando; siblings, Mary "Sis" Kantner, St. Marys and Tim Esser, Medina; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Jeffrey LaMar "Bo" Giere; and siblings, William and Thomas McEvoy.
She worked at Stanley Magic-Door Division and Keating Glass both in Orlando. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Does (Elks) and a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Ivanhoe Chapel, Orlando.
