Eddie Wiener
Eddie V. Wiener, 80, 870 Hillcrest Drive, St. Marys, died at 3:57 p.m. Sept. 18, 2009, at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
He was born May 19, 1929, in Galion to Walter and Helen Holt Wiener. On Nov. 16, 1951, he married Louise Houtz, who survives.
Other survivors are four children, William (Glenda) Wiener, Union City, Tenn., Barbara (Dennis) Cook, St. Marys, Douglas (Teri) Wiener, Ada, and Ann (Dan) Henning, New Bremen; a sister, June Wiener, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Shirley (Don) Stienecker, New Knoxville; four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Robert Wiener.
He worked for 27 years as a firefighter for the city of St. Marys Fire Department, where he served as fire chief for many years. He was a 1947 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a U.S. Navy veteran who served at a U.S. Naval Hospital. He was a member of the American Legion, St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Drummond officiating. Burial is at Lima Memorial Park Cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
