First of possibly eight dorms may be done by winter quarter 2011

Students of Wright State University-Lake Campus, Celina, will soon have access to a broader campus experience with the addition of on-site dormitories.
University officials hope to have the first of possibly eight dormitory buildings completed by late this fall or the start of winter quarter 2011, according to Project Coordinator Dr. Tom Knapke. [More]

As youths across the nation and locally celebrate National FFA Week this week, they have a company in Van Wert to thank for their famous blue, corduroy jackets tied to the organization.
Universal Lettering Co., 321 W. Ervin Road, actually began as a broom factory near downtown Van Wert in the late 1800s. Shortly thereafter, the broom factory moved into an abandoned piano factory several blocks away and broom making was replaced with the production of denim bib overalls. [More]

Celina's Bryson Pool likely will be closed this summer because of tight finances.
City council members and personnel and finance chairman Mike Sovinski made the announcement Monday night during council's regular meeting.
Celina budget
A rough draft of Celina's 2010 budget was read for the first time Monday night at the regular Celina City Council meeting.
The tentative budget, which will be reviewed additionally by council members before a final reading, includes appropriations of $37.04 million for all city funds.
