Lake home sale prices, sales tax revenue rise

The economic impact of Grand Lake's blue-green algae crisis is about as murky as its water.
Sales tax revenues in Mercer County rose 2 percent this summer over the same time period last year and recent lake-area home sales show overall property values increasing. However, officials say tourism has plummeted and lakeside businesses are claiming up to a 40 percent loss of income. [More]
