* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Auglaize, Darke, Mercer and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 356 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Fort Loramie, New Bremen, Minster, Newport, New Knoxville, Russia, Osgood, Willowdell, Chickasaw, Kettlersville, Yorkshire, Lake Loramie State Park, Egypt, Maria Stein, Mccartyville and Houston.

Mercer County Sheriff's Office pushing to locate people wanted by local courts

The long arm of the law is reaching across the country as the Mercer County Sheriff's Office works to dwindle its 600 outstanding arrest warrants.
On Oct. 1, the sheriff's office enhanced its website (www.mercercountysheriff.com) with an active warrant search tab listing all outstanding warrants as well as served grand jury indictments. Technology coordinator Kory Hoffhines developed the site, which drew 178 hits the first three days. [More]

$112,269 to provide transportation for those in need
Mercer County Commissioners on Tuesday approved a resolution accepting a $112,269 federal grant from the Job Access & Reverse Commute Program (JARC).
Mall with restaurant set for Klosterman tract
COLDWATER - Plans are in the works for a strip mall anchored by a restaurant south of Celina at the intersection of U.S. 127 and state Route 219. A manure digester and four commercial lots also are on the drawing board for the tract of land, said landowner Steve Klosterman.

ST. HENRY - The St. Henry boys basketball team gave their fans a thrill ride as they rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit and went on to beat Kalida 56-54, thanks to a Cory Siefring jumper with five seconds left in overtime.
