Helen McDonough
Helen Joan McDonough, 75, Rockford, died Feb. 28, 2011, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
She was born June 8, 1935, in Rockford, to Russell and Voyla (Rickard) Fleming. On Jan. 19, 1957, she married James McDonough, who survives in Rockford.
Also surviving are two children, Cathy (Ed) Richard, Minster, and Larry (Tammy) McDonough, Rockford; a brother, Harold Fleming, Van Wert; a sister, Opal Post, Coldwater; and four grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Mary Marsee; a sister-in-law, Catherine Fleming; and a brother-in-law, Urban Post.
She was a secretary at the Mercer County ASCS and worked as a teller at Society Bank in Rockford. She was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Rockford Red Hat Society and volunteered at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford. She graduated from Rockford High School in 1953.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Revs. Chip Steffy and Ray Daniels officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
