The St. Marys River spilled over its banks on Monday and into the back doors of many businesses on Spring Street in downtown St. Marys.
St. Marys Trading Company owners Larry and Diane Kramer worked to get all the merchandise in their basement onto tables. By early afternoon, the couple measured more than two feet of water in the basement. [More]

A 19-year-old Fort Recovery woman remains in critical condition today after being pulled from a nearly submerged car Monday night in the area of state Routes 49 and 29, north of St. Anthony.
Although dozens of homes in Mercer and Auglaize counties sustained flood damage this week, it's unlikely state or federal government funds will be available, according to Mike Robbins, director of Mercer County EMA.
