GRAND LAKE - The Memorial Day weekend on Grand Lake was a success driven by sunny skies that drew visitors to picnic sites, shelter houses and the campground, said Brian Miller, manager at the local state park.
Miller said 184 of the campground's 204 sites were occupied, a number that could have been higher if some hadn't been under water. [More]

ELIDA - St. Henry's unexpected run in the Division III tournament came to a screeching halt on Saturday thanks to the left arm of Tinora's Brett Wonders.

ST. MARYS - Two-thirds of St. Marys lost power Monday afternoon, snagging some holiday plans.
The south and east sides of the city went without power from about noon to 5 p.m. Monday after the city's generators unexpectedly failed during scheduled maintenance.

ST. HENRY - Cousins took top honors as valedictorians at this year's high school graduation ceremony Sunday in the middle school gymnasium.
Earning the title of valedictorian was Jenna Rindler, daughter of Roger and Kathy Rindler, and Kendra Rindler, daughter of Barb and Randy Rindler.
