Algae signs up
Photo by Margie Wuebker/The Daily Standard

New permanent signs containing information on how to identify blue-green algae blooms and report suspected blooms to the state went up Friday around Grand Lake. This one is located at the West Bank state boat launch area. The signage is part of the state's hazardous algae bloom advisory protocol. Grand Lake and 13 other state water bodies that have had toxic blue-green algae blooms are getting the signs this year.
