CELINA - About 5,000 supporters of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan packed the Celina Fieldhouse and nearby football stadium for a campaign stop Sunday afternoon.
People began arriving around 9:30 a.m. to ensure a seat in the heated, 2,000-seat fieldhouse before the doors opened at 11:30. The football stadium was equipped with huge screens projecting a video feed of the live action inside to the overflow crowd outside. [More]
Division III District Girls Soccer at Bath

BATH TOWNSHIP - The most successful season in the short history of Coldwater's girls soccer program ended in the Division III district finals on Saturday as unbeaten Kalida came away with a 5-0 win over the Cavaliers at Bath High School.
The win pushes the Wildcats (18-0-1) to the regional semifinals on Tuesday at Ottawa Hills. The Cavaliers, in their fourth season of play, finished the season with a record of 9-7-2. [More]

CELINA - A group of about 15 people protested the arrival of Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in Celina on Sunday afternoon.

ELIDA - The season came to a frustrating end for Celina's girls soccer team as the Bulldogs lost to the Bath Wildcats 2-0 in the Division II district finals on Saturday afternoon at the Elida High School Soccer Stadium.
