CELINA - Two-hour parking limits in downtown Celina will be eliminated once an ordinance approved by council members Monday night takes effect in 30 days.
The legislation, which does away with restrictions on downtown streets bounded by Livingston, Ash, Logan and Walnut streets and one-half block west on Market Street and one block west on Fayette Street, was ratified with a 3-2 vote; councilmen Ed Jeffries and June Scott voted no, while Myron Buxton, Jeff Larmore and Jeremy Hinton voted yes. ST. MARYS - Plans to construct a large sign with an LED television screen were halted Monday as council voted to defund the $180,000 project.
