City council approves creation of new positions
ST. MARYS - The city will hire a full-time network administrator after council members agreed to create the position on a six-to-one vote.

CELINA - City council members continue to discuss repealing a half percent income tax for police and fire capital expenses and replacing it with a tax that also funds street repairs.
NEW BREMEN - Village council members Monday night set priorities for 2014 capital projects totaling nearly $800,000.

CELINA - City council members on Monday night unanimously passed first reading of legislation to establish a police vehicle savings account and to initially fund it with $100,000 from the general fund.
ST. HENRY - Council members Monday night passed two emergency resolutions allowing the village to apply for a $188,000 Ohio Department of Transportation grant to improve street crossings in the Safe Routes to School plan.

Seasonal manure ban ending
The seasonal ban on applying manure in the Grand Lake Watershed ends Saturday, but farmers are advised to use caution in applying fertilizer to frozen or saturated soil.
2013 State Wrestling Tournament Preview
COLDWATER - After returning wrestlers to to the state tournament after a three-year absence, Coldwater matched a school record as three wrestlers will compete in the 77th annual state tournament starting Thursday at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus.
